Chandra HOA Custom Scleral lenses

High Order Aberration or in short HOA causes vision distortion in patients with Keratoconus, RK, PKP, Highly irregular Cornea of Post LASIK complications.

This HOA can be corrected with special non rotational and custom designed Scleral lenses with HOA corrected optics for crisp and clear vision.

Due to high order aberrations keratoconus patients sees 

Hallows due to HOA called Defocus.

Starburst effect due to HOA called Coma

Ghost images or multiple images due to HOA called Trefoil

HOA corrected optics can be applied on rotationally stable and well centered scleral lenses.

Scleral lenses can be made using different technologies.

Thanks for reaching out to us.

We do offer custom designed HOA Scleral lenses that we call Chandra Sclerals.

We use different labs in the USA.

For HOA measurements we use Ovitz X wave, Oculus AXL wave and others devices, to make our lenses depending on the complexity involved to get the best output for our patients vision correction and comfort.

After detailed examination HOA measurements and lenses trails we decide what's best for our patients.

We do not work for a particular lab or product but we customize our lenses.

That includes, impression based with HOA optics, soft PEG coating etc.

Prices ranges from  7 lakh INR to 12 lakh INR depending on the design, optics and surface treatment we use.

First visit for detailed examination that lasts for 3 hours. You can fly in and fly out on the same day if you wish.

Second visit after 4 to weeks when your first custom lenses arrives from USA to our clinic in India.

Where we measure HOA for optics again.

3rd visit after 4 to 5 weeks when you have your close matching scleral lenses with all features. That time we want you to stay back for observation for 12 to 24 hours. If we need to tweak the lenses. If needed we send you back with this close matching lenses but order another fine tuned lenses, that will be delivered in 4 to 5 weeks. Hopefully that's final lens but if required we still work on the lenses and in that case you will need to make extra visits. 

In our experience we have successfully fitted in 3rd visits but every patients/ eyes are different and we want you to be prepare accordingly.

First visit we change for examination and trail and HOA measurements to see if you are a good candidate and if we can help you. Charges are ₹25000/-

If you decide to order the lenses then we take 70% advance payment that is non refundable.

Balance 30% we take on next visit when your first custom lenses arrive for delivery.

3rd & 4th visits are covered. 5th visit onwards we charge ₹25000/- for every follow up visits.
